The Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Library manages Ontario's public drilling and production data from all borings licenced under the Oil, Gas and Salt Resources Act. This includes a wide range of borings from oil & gas to stratigraphic testing to storage; including compressed air energy storage and the potential for CCUS and hydrogen storage in the future.
We are seeking talented students and recent graduates in the fields of GIS, geography, geology, or computer science to join our team and help advance our data and knowledge of Ontario's subsurface.
Available Positions:
Geological Laboratory Assistant
GIS and Database Assistant

- Laboratory preparation of geologic samples
- Quality assurance of borehole data
- Online publishing of data and maps
- Using 3D Printing and VR as outreach and science communication tools
- Using AR as an outreach and science communication tool
- Creating technology to help people explore the subsurface
